Entrance to the Secret Garden?

It certainly looks like it could be the entrance to the Secret Garden,
doesn't it?  Cascading Purple Hyacinth Bean, hanging over our
eight foot (young) red maple tree!  During the past two weeks
it has just taken off... drawing both butterflies and hummingbirds!
Perspective... these large beans are about 3.5 inches in length.
Ah, the wonder of it all...   Daryle

  1. I have that growing (along with morning glories and sunflowers) as part of our "instant privacy fence" on the street side of the back yard. I absolutely love the color--of the leaves, vine, flowers and pods. Yours is lovely cascading down like that...makes you want to build an arbor entrance to...nowhere? :~)

  2. Jan... how did I miss that? I really found your "instant privacy fence" so creatively amusing and functional; but I missed the Hyacinth Bean! I will have to go back to your blog and take another look! As always... thank you for stopping by! Daryle
