"Sufficient Phaeton"... a New Art Doll!

The inspiration for this newest art doll
comes from one of Emily Dickinson's poems!
This raggle-taggle rider is made from
paperclay, canvas duck cloth and wood.
He wears a small, vintage oil can on his head.
He will eventually have articulated arms and legs...
A paperclay head (to cover this styrofoam ball)
and paperclay hands are in the works!
I will post the poem that inspired him in a day or so...
Blessings, Daryle

  2. He is so cute, love his hat, has he got wooden legs? Can't wait to see him finished.

Have a great day over there.

  4. I am always so inspired by Dickinson and I am sure I will be even more inspired by you when he is completed. I will be waiting on pins and needles to see him done!!

  5. Another adorable creation! What imagination you have! :)

  6. Yay! A new doll to sit on the 'wagon'
    What a concept! Lovely idea!
