Congratulations... our Second Week in Advent Winners!

Once again... we are just overwhelmed by
the heart-warming responses to
"The Reason for the Season!"

Sascha will make his new home with
Annette, from Confounded Concoctions.

Four of Katie's handmade cards
will find their way to the home of Brenda Escoto
who lives in Folsom, CA.
Brenda was unable to post her comment on our blog,
but sent it via e-mail... it touched our hearts deeply!

Please keep those posts coming... as a new
"Souls of Joy" doll and four more cards
will be finding their way to new homes
next Wednesday evening, December 15th.

  1. Hi Daryle and Katie,

I cannot tell you how THRILLED I was when I read the post on my blog that I had won Sascha!!!

I too am deeply touched that you considered my post! God has simply amazing ways of giving us hugs over the years and I consider this one of them.

What do I need to do to get my address to you?

Many, many thanks and God's richest blessings to you this Holy Season!

  2. Hi, Darlye and Katie
I am going to post my thanks and gratitude here to you also, for sending me Huppert, from last week's giveaway. I can't begin to thank you enough for such an amazing doll. And I began to look a Huppert, and actually, most all of your dolls have a very unique quality to them, almost of being hand carved out of wood. That is what strikes me as so beautiful about them.
The golden glow of their patina is marvelous!
And of course all of the wondrous embellishments you have chosen to dress them up with.
Have a very, lovely holiday season, warmed by friends and family and the sole purpose of the season to bring joy to God!
    hugs,
    Teresa Swanson

  3. Hello Daryle and Katie,

Sascha arrived safe and sound today. Wow! He is so much more than I even imagined!

He is a bit larger than I pictured and his size is perfect!

I love the sculpting on his nose and ears and the crackle and blushing on his nose and cheeks.

I love everything about him and feel so very fortunate to have been chosen to have him live here with me! I am so blessed by your generosity. You truly are about it is better to give than to receive!

I will be taking pictures tomorrow and posting them on my blog and facebook and direct people to your blog.

A very Merry Christmas and God's richest blessings to you!

    Annette

  4. Christmas, The magical Season of love, caring, giving, and most of all being thankful for those who share our lives. I guess I've learned through the years what Christmas is really about, spending time with each of those that share my life and that I love. They make me who I am and who I've become throughout my life. You see, after almost twenty years of marriage,Three years ago my husband passed away at the age of 49 from brain cancer right after a transfer with the department of defense to Middle Georgia, leaving me and our younger two children in a place where we had no family, no friends, and knew absolutely no one. I had no job, and I had no idea how we'd make it through a week let alone three years later. I suppose one could say that I was stronger than I ever gave myself credit for. We made it through at first it was one day at a time, than it was one week at a time, and so on. So for each of us we decided, that very first Christmas without him; that we should to treat each and every day like it's that magical time of year because none of us know how truly short life is or could be for anyone. We learned that it wasn't about what we could give to each other or the money we have or don't have, but what comes from the heart. My husband spent 32 years defending our Great Country as a member of the Department of Defense, he shed his blood, sweat and tears for the men and women who still defend us from those who want to harm us. I'm proud of the man he was, and the person I became as his wife. I miss him, and I always will. I'm most of all thankful for the lesson he brought to each of us to give all, all the time so you have no regrets, May the Season be bright and Merry for Each of you, I adore your work, and a huge fan to say the least!~ O.Carter
