Your wonderful pieces came up on my Pinterest account. I am an art teacher in Davis CA. I'd like to create a bird paper mache' lesson for my ninth grade students. I've done paper mache in my classes before but I saw you mentioned using "paper clay" on your pieces. My knowledge with paper clay is based on the clay you actually fire. This can't be the same as what you use. Do you mind sharing what the "paper clay" is that you use?
You can easily find a brand of paper clay at a Michael’s (assuming you’re in the states), or simply online. Perhaps by now you’ve already taught this class….maybe not. Paperclay is VERY easy to work with and requires no firing. You simply let it air dry - that’s part of the beauty of it. I hope you get to teach your students this class OR any other less “complex” project with paper clay. It’s SOOOO versatile.
Your blog is a beacon of wisdom, guiding readers with valuable information.
