Our Hearfelt Thanks to Stampington & Company!

What an honor... to be on the cover of the premier issue of Stampington and Company's new PRIMS magazine!  We were both thrilled and humbled when we found out that "Oh Glorious Anthem" was the cover photograph. The issue is filled with wonderful primitive folk art that represents an incredible arena of artists, materials and ideas.  We are so blessed!  Daryle and Katie

PRIMS Cage Doll

"Oh Glorious Anthem" is the second doll featured in the new, premier issue of PRIMS.  She has a wooden cage skirt, fabric bodice and paper-clay head and arms.

New, Premier Issue of PRIMS Article!

How very exciting it has been!  Two of my primitive folk art cage dolls are featured in a five page article in the new, premier issue of Stampington & Company's PRIMS!  This is "Forget Me Not" in the early working stage and finished.  She has a fabric bodice, wooden cage, and a wood and paper-clay head.

The Collector is Finished!

It seems like I have been working on this guy forever!  My newest cage doll:  "The Collector!"  Please visit my page at Cloth & Clay to see more photos.  I incorporated encaustic medium in his hang tag and wings, and used a new one-step crackle medium (that worked like a dream!).
Enjoy!  Daryle
