In the spirit of this Christmas Season...
Katie and I would like to share the joy...
by giving away each week one of the "Souls of Joy"
art dolls and one set of four handmade cards.
This coming Wednesday, Dec. 15th
"Rafael... whom God has healed” will find a new home...
as will a packet of four handmade cards!
Here's how it works: each Wednesday
evening (12/1, 12/8, 12/15, 12/22)
Katie and I will choose the TWO posts that we feel
best express the "Reason for the Season!"
Each week, one post will be selected to receive
a "Soul of Joy" doll, and one post will be selected
to receive a set of four handmade cards.
We invite you to post... inspire, and be inspired!
Yuletide Blessings... Daryle & Katie
This time of year is so uplifting and joyous for me. I embrace its arrival as it brings us hope; hope for mankind and a deep love for all. Celebrating the birth of Christ and the anticipation of his return is the greatest celebration of all. Peace on earth is a prayer for all which one day will be upon us. In celebrating the season and awaiting the return of Christ to save us all from the "ways of the world" and bring us that peace, I love the sharing and giving that I have the opportunity for during this time. I cherish the opportunity to make a difference in others lives and especially those in need. To ease the struggles others are having and give them a sense of love, hope and peace as Christ does for me makes this season a season for believing' and I pray for it for all.
ReplyDeleteThank you both for allowing me to share my reasons for the season.
Then names and meanings of your art dolls evoke so much inside me and hold so much meaning to me, especially the most recent two. I'd like to share a video with you titled “Stand by Me” that can be found here:

I hope you find it enjoyable.

I'm writing this comment from Northern Thailand where I've lived for the past eight years. As I look out the window there are no frosty trees, no snowmen, no shoppers bustling about carrying their packages. And yet, in the air is the feeling of Christmas. Not because of outward dressings on the buildings nor on the houses, but because of the anticipation of the message that most of the Thai people have yet to accept. To me, Christmas is one of the most important opportunities to share the message of the Christ child. It's an open door into the lives of people whom otherwise would remain closed.
ReplyDeleteThe reason for the season is to give, not receive. To celebrate His birth, not ourselves. To embrace the Truth behind the most powerful force in the universe - His Love!
Bless you! Love your blog!

The meaning of Raphael is "God has healed". So one of the resons for this season is to be healed and to pass on that healing.
ReplyDeleteI have seen many comments on your site where the writer has suffered a trauma and is calling out for some comfort and healing.
So I think Raphael will fulfill these needs as well as the needs of those who long for a gentle, caring touch but cannot dare hope.
