A Star is Born... Part Two!

I ended up using German glass glitter,
rather than gold-leafing.

A Star is Born...

Finally finding some time to work on
our 2022 Christmas ornies!

Psalm 147:4 seems so appropriate:
"He counts the stars and calls them all by name"

Paper Clay and Cotton Canvas...

Ready to Gesso...
Then a wash of acrylic paint
and I'm thinking some gold leafing
here and there.

Thanks for stopping by... be blessed in this Advent season!

"Houses of Clay"... is for sale in the Virtual Exhibition Nov. 18-Dec. 16, 2022

I'm excited to be able to offer this art doll as part of the
Elemental Spirit Dolls: Healing the Planet Show
which benefits Friends of the Earth Climate Change Team

Designed to hang  on a wall, this mixed-media doll
is approximately 12" tall and 10" wide.

The head is paper clay, from a press mold that I cast;
using a vintage baby-doll. Wood chair caning pegs,
wood beads, bone beads, annealed wire, fabric,
nails, gold-leafing, cardboard and acrylic paints
were used for the halo, the wings and the body.

"Little Ones"... Loving the Process!

These guys makes me smile...

They are in the Artful Giving Show
which opened yesterday at the RRCA
in Millville, New Jersey.

They started out with some annealed wire,
newspaper and masking tape... lots of tape!

A little paper clay... more masking tape!

Watercolor paper and layers of hand towels...

Did I say?
They make me smile...
